Space bug

Extraterrestrial life WIP

Today I started drawing an extraterrestrial lifeform. Great perspective practice! Inspired by the picture I have in my mind of the space bugs from the movie Starship Troopers that I saw many years ago. However I just used some photos of other real bugs that I found as reference, to make sure it wouldn’t be anything alike the ones in the movie.

I also received the book I ordered today about How to Draw, by Scott Robertson. I’ve already read almost one fourth of it and I like it very much! He describes some great techniques for perspective drawing that seem very useful that Marshall didn’t cover.
